LBNF offers grants to qualifying groups and organizations. Any organization meeting the eligibility criteria as stated in our LBNF Grant Program documentation may apply for funding at any time during the year. More information at these links Grant Program Overview, Grant Request Form

LBNF has dispersed hundreds of thousands of dollars to impactful programs in Long Beach. Read below and click the appropriate header to learn more about our long term projects, recurring scholarships/donations and one time grants we have been able to award.
 
 
LBNF has partnered with several groups for long term projects acting as the fiscal agent and advisor for those listed at this link. Donations to LBNF can be earmarked for any of these projects by stating your intent to support them on paypal or in the memo field of your check.
  
Give Our Children a Running Start

Recurring scholarships/donations 

LBNF has given out continuous college scholarships to applicable high school students in the area, as well as many donations to organizations who continue to give their support for events we put on.

Burbank Elementary
A 4th grade field trip to Rancho Los Alamitos and the Kindergarten Garden Project

  
 Newcomb Academy Cheer
 
The Newcomb Academy middle school cheerleaders have become a fixture at the event, encouraging runners to the finish line. LBNF bought Newcomb a new mascot costume in 2015.  
 
 
 
Lafayette Elementary
The Wrigley River Run course goes right by Lafayette and LBNF has purchased folders, certificates and other supplies to support their end of the year 5th grade promotion activities.
 

 
 
 St. Lucy's
 LBNF purchased several computers for St Lucy's
 
 
  
 
The 2nd Happiest Place on Earth
LBNF supported this non-profit child care program by purchasing a group of tablets for a new reading program.
 


Cabrillo HS
Jazz band

The band has performed at the Wrigley River Run several times and in 2012 LBNF paid for their entry fees and transportation cost for them to attend several festivals/competitions.

Girls Learn to Ride
Click here to read about how we helped a Cabrillo girls soccer coach introduce her team to the larger world around them by taking them on their first trip to the snow and to participate in a Girls Learn to Ride clinic.

Basketball summer camp
LBNF sponsored two scholarships for youth who could not otherwise attend summer basketball camp.

Beach Cities Youth Lacrosse
Scholarships for low income students who participated in the event or are in the Wrigley area to cover league fees and or equipment

Oakwood Academy
Two new playground structures to be built at two different campuses

Kaboom Wrigley Playground

A new playground was built, several groups contributed, LBNF bought lunch for the hundreds of volunteers.

Half Marathon Entry
Sponsored the entry fee of Charlie, a participant in the Wrigley River Runners as well as the Wrigley River Run, for him to enter his first half marathon and embark upon a mentoring program with a world renowned runner.

Addams Elementary
Supported Fifth grade promotion activities.
